Skills: the new language of education and training
This section is focused on those who are interested in developing talent for the global workforce, providing regional and country-specific best practices, and global benchmarking. In the same way, we aim to assist human resource development professionals designing strategic global training in a multinational environment. We think that there are four common elements in the design and development of global HRD. Cooperation, collaboration, communication, and culture are the Four elements that form the backbone of any global HRD organization.
The global leadership competencies required for success include:
- The flexibility to work and manage across cultures
- The ability to be the voice of the local culture to home office while being the voice of home office to the local employees
- Understanding of and ability to adapt to cultural differences as they impact business practices
